(sii).positional analysis: ub64 position (ktb) plots 9.6nm se of this wreck. the master's report of the sinking (tna adm 137/1516) gives a position which plots 2.9nm ne of the wreck.archival analysis: the master stated the ship was hit port side in the stokehold and sank in four minutes. the u-boat then surfaced and approached the survivors but was driven off by hms kestrel (tna adm 137/1516). ub64 ktb states the ship was hit in the after part. the ktbrefers to having to crash dive on the approach of a destroyer
